Man On Wire

Yesterday night I watched the documentary film Man On Wire directed by James Marsh. It is a brief biography of Philippe Petit who wirewalked between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center of New York in 1974. It is based on his book To Reach The Clouds.

Philippe Petit was 17 years old when he decided he wanted to wirewalk between the Twin Towers. He was at the waiting room of the dentist. He came upon an advertisement of a magazine and read there were going to be built the tallest towers of the world. He tore the ad off and went out to the street with a dream in his mind.

It is not like an animal BBC documentary. It si more like a thriller. Why did Philippe Petit enjoyed wirewalking? How did he convince a friend of his and other people to help him? How did they enter the buildings? Why they didn't get detected by the security men? How did his dream came true? Just watch this documentary and you will know all the answers.
